JOSE LUIS ROLDAN ORTEGA

Law Degree (LLB) from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), Campus Santa Fe (2013), where he participated in the Commercial Arbitration Program at the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, France the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague, Netherlands and the University of Vienna, Austria, Certified in Corporate Law (2015) and Master´s Degree in Laws (LLM) (2017) by Universidad La Salle Ciudad de México, and other postgraduate studies at the Jenkins Graduate School of the Universidad de las Américas Puebla and Universidad Iberoamericana, in Mexico City.

Practitioner with more than 10 years of experience in civil, commercial, and constitutional litigation. He focusses on complex cases involving shareholder disputes, real estate projects, enforcement of securities and judgments issued abroad, international procedural collaboration, enforcement of arbitration awards and estate planning and litigation.

For almost 10 years, he practiced as an Associate Attorney in the Civil and Commercial Litigation Area of Acedo Santamarina, S.C. a law firm in Mexico City where he focused on litigation with international aspects for foreign and transnational clients, including shareholders disputes, drafting and enforcement of international and sales of goods, technology, and telecommunications contracts, as well as the enforcement of international arbitration awards.

Professor of the following courses: Commercial Procedural Law, Civil Procedural Law, Alternative Means of Dispute Resolution, Commercial Contracts, Legal Framework of Business and Commercial Companies at the School of Government and Social Sciences of the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) at Campus Santa Fe, Campus Estado de México and Campus Aguascalientes.
